McAvey Appointed to Center for Improving Value in Health Care Board of Directors

Manatt Health Managing Director Kevin McAvey has been appointed to the Center for Improving Value in Health Care’s (CIVHC) Board of Directors. Kevin will provide CIVHC, one of the country’s fastest growing health data organizations, with perspective on the rapidly evolving national health data landscape and its role within it.

“I am pleased to join CIVHC’s Board as Kristin Paulson [CEO] leads it through its next phase of growth. Improving health in this country starts with understanding how our systems of health are performing, and CIVHC is a national pacesetter in translating data into information that drives system insight and system change.”

CIVHC was established in 2009 to convene public and private health care leaders in Colorado to help accelerate improvements in how health care was paid for and delivered. It has since grown into a nationally recognized nonprofit seeking to improve health and health care by equipping policymakers, organizations, individuals and communities with unbiased data and information from Colorado’s All Payer Claims Database and other data sources.

Kevin McAvey is a leading health care data strategy and system transformation leader at Manatt Health. He was also recently reelected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Health Data Organizations, where he serves as Vice Chair. Learn more about his practice here.
