Sawhel Maali is a Manatt Health manager in the firm’s New York office. Sawhel provides qualitative and quantitative research on a broad range of substantive issues including health care business and policy. In addition, she monitors federal and state health policy and market development and other emergent health care trends.
Prior to joining Manatt, Sawhel served as a graduate intern at a national research and consulting firm specializing in publicly funded health care as well as a policy fellow with a leading consumer health care organization based in Massachusetts. While completing her M.P.H., she served as an equity, diversity and inclusion fellow for the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Earlier in her career, Sawhel worked as a program coordinator at a safety net hospital and academic medical center in San Francisco, where she focused on issues related to child health equity, maternal health and food insecurity.
