Paul Berrini is a Director with Manatt Health. Based in the firm’s Chicago office, Paul provides strategy development, operational planning and project management oversight to a broad range of healthcare provider clients with a particular focus on issues relating to academic medical center and safety net provider strategy and implementation.

Paul brings significant experience in navigating and implementing complex affiliation models in academic and community medicine, clinical strategy innovation, and State funding and Medicaid financing strategy. An experienced operator and administrator, Paul advises clients on organizational transformation and operational restructuring efforts, proactive and reactive. Paul also brings a depth of expertise in IL healthcare facility planning and certificate of need policy and engagement.

Prior to joining Manatt, Paul was Vice President of Strategic Planning for Sinai Health System, a critical safety net health system in Chicago, and was deeply involved in reshaping the service line portfolio and future strategy of the organization, designing and initiating a successful turnaround plan, and analyzing and advising on the impacts of Medicaid policy and rate reform nationally and in IL.
