Bio

Naomi Newman

Naomi Newman is a managing director with Manatt Health, an interdisciplinary policy and business advisory division of Manatt. She advises the leadership of major health systems, provider groups, health plans and digital health companies on strategic, organizational and policy priorities, with a particular focus on opportunities for growth, innovation and performance optimization.

Naomi’s primary areas of focus include assisting health care providers in designing and launching innovative new programs, assessing reimbursement opportunities, and evaluating and pursuing partnership models. Representative engagements include supporting major academic health systems in standing up accountable care organizations and clinically integrated networks, helping community clinics understand the telehealth reimbursement landscape and implications for their operations, and advising digital health companies on how to best plug in to the existing health care ecosystem.

Naomi has also coauthored a variety of papers on health policy issues, including Medicaid reform.

Prior to joining Manatt, Naomi was a supervising senior managerial consultant for The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) at Kaiser Permanente (KP), where she facilitated the development of TPMG’s cancer Center of Excellence strategy, supported business planning for new pioneering clinical programs and led clinical performance improvement initiatives across the organization’s Northern California footprint. Before KP, Naomi was a senior consultant with The Chartis Group, where she provided strategic planning, financial alignment, and operational improvement analysis and advice to academic medical centers, children’s hospitals and health systems.
