Michelle Carrera is a manager with Manatt Health based in the Firm’s San Francisco office.

Michelle works with clients on payment and delivery system transformation; health care reform implementation; hospital, health system and academic medical center operations/strategy; strategic planning services; Medicaid policy, redesign and innovation; Medicare program elements; health IT strategy; and pharmaceutical market access, coverage and reimbursement strategies.

Before joining Manatt, Michelle worked as an intensive case management associate for a humanitarian aid organization in Miami, where she coordinated services for clients with chronic medical conditions, complex social needs and barriers to health access. She also worked as a bilingual research assistant at Boston Medical Center’s Center for Excellence in Women’s Health. While at Berkeley, she served as a health policy fellow with the California Initiative for Health Equity & Action, conducting research and leading evidence briefings focused on connecting policymakers, advocates and researchers on policies and strategies to promote health equity.
