Melindah Sharma serves as Managing Director at Manatt Health with a focus on commercialization and policy across the life sciences ecosystem. With a 25+ year career as a global health care executive defining vision and building core capabilities within pharma, consumer health, medical devices, digital health and hospital/physician care organizations, Melindah has had progressive responsibilities in R&D, commercial and supply chain, finance, strategy/re-engineering functions ranging in size from seed to $95B in revenue. Her industry depth and management consulting expertise have allowed her to focus on delivering shareholder value by 45–66%.
Prior to joining Manatt, Melindah co-founded VLab partners and led the marketing integration of a multibillion dollar health care system across practices. As a business leader, she improved cash flow and execution across complex, multi-billion dollar product organizations to drive $15B (NPV) across multiple P&L’s and their sub-functions with teams of 6,000+ resources. While at Johnson & Johnson, Melindah was responsible for establishing the capital / asset / portfolio management capability across the Enterprise; with Sanofi on their global regulatory affairs strategy and at Genpact, she led the strategy for Life Sciences, Knowledge Management and Corporate Social Responsibility during her tenure.
In addition to her work at Manatt Health, Melindah is an Industry Advisor to Arcade Therapeutics and Galen Growth, and an investor at Emmeline Ventures, which enables female founders in health care, sustainability and financial services to have a greater impact in these specific domains. She is one of the original founders of the South Asian Coalition against Violence and has been the Honorary Chair for the Women's Resource Center, where she was once a resident. Melindah has worked across four continents and in more than 20 countries, is multi-lingual and a single mother of three who was raised between India and the United States.
