Dr. Linda Rosenstock is a Manatt Health national advisor. She advises academic health systems and governmental and not-for-profit entities on strategy and organization development, with a particular focus on the intersection of medicine and public health. Linda brings broad experience in clinical care, population health, research, and health and regulatory policy.
Linda is a professor and dean emeritus at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Fielding School of Public Health and a professor at the UCLA School of Medicine.
Prior to coming to UCLA, Linda served as the director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), where she led a staff of 1,500 at the only federal agency mandated to undertake research and prevention activities in occupational safety and health.
At the University of Washington, Linda received advanced medical training and was chief resident in primary care internal medicine and a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. She has been active in teaching and research in many developing countries and is the author of several hundred scientific papers and numerous books.
Linda is past chair of the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) and past president of the Society of Medical Administrators (SOMA). She served from 2011 to 2017 as a presidential appointee (Obama) to the Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion, and Integrative and Public Health.
