Jeff Maurer is a partner in the Los Angeles office and a member of the litigation practice. He focuses on a wide range of complex litigation, regulatory and transactional matters in the health care industry. Jeff's experience in health care litigation includes complex business, real estate, provider/payor payment, managed care contracting, antitrust, and fraud and abuse disputes. His past litigation experience includes advising hospital and health system clients in disputes involving merger agreements, disproportionate share hospital and Medicaid payments, immediate jeopardy violations, allegations of unfair business practices, and seismic retrofit laws. Jeff also advises clients on regulated transactions involving the sale of nonprofit health care facilities, administrative subpoenas and civil investigative demands, and abuse/neglect investigations.
Jeff received his J.D. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Jeff has worked on pro bono matters for the Los Angeles Legal Aid Foundation and Public Counsel Law Center, and currently serves as a guardian ad litem in Public Counsel's Children's Rights Project.
