Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is pleased to announce that Bill Broome has rejoined the Firm as Counsel in its M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets and Finance practice. With extensive experience working on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, Broome helps clients navigate corporate formation, growth and disputes in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on emerging technology, entertainment and media.
Broome’s practice focuses on supporting clients with their complex business transactions, including M&As, venture capital and private equity, joint ventures, and general corporate and commercial matters, as well as corporate governance and internal affairs. He has a history of providing guidance on investor- and company-side equity and debt financings, entity and fund formation, and securities law compliance. Having frequently worked with entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses, Broome additionally enhances the Firm’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital teams as they continue to assist individuals and companies at all stages of their business life cycle. He will also collaborate with Manatt’s nationally recognized Entertainment practice to counsel e-sports clients on commercial agreements, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to rejoining Manatt, Broome worked in private practice advising on all matters of corporate governance and structure, business transactions, legal and contractual compliance, equity awards, and intellectual property protection. He also assisted with various equity and debt financings, strategic partnerships and securities law compliance. Further, Broome has trial and arbitration experience where he has handled discovery and motion practice for complex commercial litigation matters.

Broome earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Princeton University.
