Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is pleased to announce that Haley Fiallo has joined the Firm’s growing San Diego office as Counsel in its Financial Services group. Fiallo’s work and experience at the intersection of financial services and innovation adds to the Firm’s capabilities across venture debt, private credit and commercial lending for institutional lending clients.
She has extensive experience counseling lenders, commercial banks and borrowers on financing transactions, in addition to venture capital and real estate investments and contracts. Fiallo focuses on representing companies in documenting technology, life sciences and middle-market financing transactions, including traditional commercial leveraged debt financings, venture debt financings and bridge loans.
Fiallo joins recent arrivals Troy Zander in San Diego and Warren Biro in Los Angeles who also have deep experience representing banks and other lenders, companies and agents across a range of sophisticated venture debt and other commercial lending matters within technology, life sciences and middle-market financing transactions. At Manatt, Fiallo will support and collaborate with teams across financial services, emerging company, venture capital, health care, and digital and technology as Manatt continues to build out key sectors that are vital to clients.
As the latest arrival to the Firm’s growing San Diego office, Fiallo closely follows other professionals who have also joined in the region over the past year. In addition to Zander, the Firm has welcomed former United States Attorney for the Southern District of California Randy S. Grossman, who serves as leader of the San Diego office and a Partner in the Trial, White Collar and Investigations practice, as well as former federal prosecutor for the National Security and Cybercrimes Section of the United States Attorney’s Office and Partner Kareem Salem.

Fiallo earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and her B.S. from Cornell University.
