Christine M. Reilly Brings Extensive Consumer Class Action and Regulatory Defense Experience to Nationally Recognized Team
Manatt announced that Christine M. Reilly has joined the Los Angeles office as a partner and co-chair of the firm’s TCPA Compliance and Class Action Defense practice. Reilly comes to Manatt from Loeb & Loeb LLP.
Reilly represents clients in major litigation in a wide variety of areas, including consumer protection, unfair competition, false and deceptive advertising, business torts, and entertainment and intellectual property. She regularly defends clients in consumer class actions and investigations and proceedings initiated by the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, and other federal and state government and regulatory agencies. She is experienced defending clients in consumer class and regulatory actions alleging violations of various state and federal laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Federal Trade Commission Act, Electronic Communications Privacy Act, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, as well as California’s False Advertising Law, Unfair Competition Law, Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Consumers Legal Remedies Act, California’s Invasion of Privacy Act and California Penal Code § 327, covering endless chain/pyramid schemes.

In addition to her litigation practice, Reilly regularly counsels clients on marketing and advertising issues and compliance with consumer laws. She has represented companies in a variety of industries and service sectors, including wireless/mobile, Internet marketing, lead generation/affiliate marketing, software, telecommunications, television, music and entertainment, automotive parts and services, dietary supplements, food, and health and beauty.

Reilly has been nationally recognized as a leading lawyer for Technology: Data Protection and Privacy by The Legal 500 U.S. A frequent author and lecturer on the topic of TCPA compliance, she created and hosts the TCPA Defense Forum on LinkedIn. She also co-chairs the Los Angeles KnowledgeNet Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
