Manatt Sponsors Symposium on Integrity in Sports
Topics Include Bullying, Match-Fixing, Performance Enhancement, Changing Landscape of College Sports
Manatt, along with cosponsors the San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Sharks and Oakland A’s, will be sponsoring the Fifth Annual Sports Law and Ethics Symposium at Santa Clara University on September 11, 2014. The Symposium, titled “Integrity in Sports,” will include presentations on bullying, match-fixing, performance enhancement, the changing landscape of college sports and other trending topics that may arise before the event.
The Symposium’s keynote speaker is Paraag Marathe, the President of the San Francisco 49ers. The lunchtime speaker is Travis Tygard, CEO of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Chairing the event for the fifth year in a row is Ron Katz, Chairman of the Institute of Sports Law and Ethics and chair of Manatt’s Sports Law Practice.
