As employers continue to hone their reopening plans, it is important not to lose sight of ongoing workforce training obligations applicable to in-office and remote employees alike. This includes mandatory New York State and New York City annual sexual harassment training, the requirements of which have remained in effect throughout the pandemic. With the increasing prevalence of partially and fully remote work arrangements going forward, employers must also ensure that their anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies explicitly address and apply to conduct occurring outside of the physical workplace, including via electronic communications.
