Manatt represented and advised Rosco, Inc., a leading global supplier of vision safety solutions to the bus and truck marketplace, in the favorable settlement of its patent infringement lawsuit against Safety Vision, LLC, and Safety Vision’s supplier. The action involved Rosco’s patents covering its multiple camera systems and rearview mirror monitor technology.
After several years in litigation, the parties have settled the matter amicably, with Safety Vision taking a license and, together with its supplier, agreeing not to contest or assist others in contesting the validity or enforceability of the Rosco patents.
Manatt’s litigation team was led by intellectual property (IP) partner Irah Donner and white collar partner Richard Hartunian, with significant assistance from technology and IP litigation counsel Shawn McDonald. Digital and technology transactions partner Brian Kelly led the license and settlement agreement.
