Manatt represented Rocket Lawyer, the digital legal services provider, in its major growth capital financing of $223 million led by Vista Credit Partners, a strategic credit investor and financing partner focused on the enterprise software, data and technology markets. Manatt worked alongside Goodwin Procter LLP on the deal.
As a result of the financing, Rocket Lawyer will scale its Rocket Legal Cloud™ platform to meet the strong and accelerating demand for the company’s scalable cloud-based solutions.
Manatt’s core deal team was led by Jonathan Lemberg, counsel in the firm’s venture capital and emerging companies practice, and corporate and finance associate Tiana Walden, with assistance from venture capital and emerging companies partner and leader Rich McDerby. Other members of the team included partner Bob Duran, who provided tax advice, and paralegals Sandra Zapf and Charles Trucios.
