Manatt privacy and data security partner Brandon Reilly spoke with Bloomberg Law about the California Privacy Rights Act, a new data privacy requirement in California’s recently enacted ballot initiative. In the article, Reilly noted that publicity around this ballot measure could introduce additional lawsuits, saying the California Privacy Rights Act “could expand the ‘surface area’ for alleged noncompliance and drive a greater number of class actions . . . There’s going to be a lot more that enterprising attorneys can try to grab onto.”
