Manatt Entertainment partner Jeff Biederman spoke with Billboard about the continued interest in the sale and acquisition of song catalogs in 2020. In the article, Biederman noted that the activities of a few organizations as well as the growth of subscription streaming services are responsible for increased activity in the space, even piquing interest among “A-list” songwriters that have been reluctant to sell thus far. “Everybody says ‘never’ until the price is right,” commented Biederman.
