Manatt Digital and Technology partner Eric Bergner spoke with Reuters on the impact postponing the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in light of the COVID-19 pandemic might have on major corporate sponsors. In the article, Bergner discussed how this postponement might require the International Olympic Committee to provide “make good” compensation to sponsors, which include “product placements for manufacturers of consumer goods, promotional footage or ‘meet and greet’ events during the Olympics.”
