Manatt’s Ian Spatz, a senior advisor for Manatt Health, spoke to Axios about the Trump administration’s new rules requiring drugmakers to include prices in TV ads.
The rule additionally requires ads to have a statement that each patient’s costs may depend on their insurance.
Spatz said this new rule could have a significant impact on the healthcare industry and could prompt a few lawsuits.
“There are plenty of potential challengers out there who could reasonably assert that they’d be damaged by implementation of the rule,” he said.
