Manatt’s Jack Quinn, a partner in the government and regulatory practice, appeared on CNN to speak about ongoing developments in Roger Stone’s criminal case.
Stone came under criticism from Judge Amy Berman Jackson for posting an edited photo on Instagram that appeared to have a crosshair symbol near the judge’s face. Stone’s lawyers later submitted a letter of apology to the court for the post. But on February 21, Judge Jackson ordered that Stone may not speak publicly about the criminal case against him.
Quinn said Stone will have to be careful of his actions in the near future.
“I think that she did not want to allow Roger to be able to … prance himself around as a victim. So I think she’s going above and beyond the call, giving him one more chance. But if he does anything this criminally stupid again, he’ll be behind bars.”
