Litigation partner and New York office partner Prana Topper and Manatt Health partner Melinda Dutton were recognized on Crain’s New York Business’ 2020 Notable Women in Law list. This list honors 100 of New York’s most dedicated, gifted and determined female lawyers each year.
Topper was recognized for her history of successfully representing clients in entertainment law and complex business litigation matters. She is noted for her experience as a trial attorney in federal and state courts, as well as for her work in arbitration proceedings. In particular, Topper’s successful defense on behalf of Sony/ATV and EMI in a royalties suit filed by R&B group Dru Hill in 2017 was especially noted in her Notable Women in Law profile.
Dutton was named to the Notable Women in Law list for her work at the intersection of law, policy and strategy in the healthcare industry. In particular, Crain’s notes her extensive experience in non-commercial health insurance, Affordable Care Act marketplaces, insurance coverage expansion, health care delivery system transformation and payment reform. Dutton’s role as one of the architects of Manatt Health’s model of integrated legal, regulatory and consulting services is also noted in her profile.
