Manatt’s Joel Ario, a managing director with our Manatt Health team, was interviewed by the Washington Post for an article on several Republicans’ defense of their healthcare protection stance.
As healthcare continues to top the list of important issues, the publication noted that many vulnerable Republicans have claimed they support protections for patients with preexisting conditions while campaigning.
“Republicans are trying to play into public support for protecting preexisting conditions,” said Ario. “[They’re] ignoring the fact that their previous action disadvantaged people with preexisting conditions.”
