Manatt’s Jack Quinn, a partner in the firm’s government and regulatory practice, discussed President Donald Trump’s former national security advisor Michael Flynn’s court sentencing with CNN.
The news segment examined Flynn’s dishonest statements to the FBI about Trump’s discussions with the Russian ambassador, noting that his guilty plea led to his current position awaiting sentence in federal court.
“I’m sure he did know the conversations with the Russian ambassador are apt to be monitored by our intelligence community. How he might have thought that his conversation with the Russian ambassador would not be part of that monitoring is a great mystery,” said Quinn.
