Manatt’s Jack Quinn, a partner in the firm’s government and regulatory practice, spoke with CNN about the investigations President Donald Trump will face in the new year.
With the Democratic tide washing over the House of Representatives, more lawyers and staff will be involved in investigating the White House. The news segment reviewed the House Judiciary Committee’s efforts to bolster a team of investigators and examined the committee’s recent job posting asking for legislative counsel.
“I fully expect that [Democratic leadership] will not engage in the overreach that we saw during the Clinton years, when committees just went too far and grounded themselves in the wrong issues and eventually turned the American people against the investigations,” said Quinn.
