Manatt’s Charles Washburn, a partner in the firm’s financial services group, was quoted by Bloomberg BNA for an article on former White House aide and interim director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Brian Johnson.
The publication noted Johnson’s experience in the role, as he steps in pending the confirmation of President Donald Trump’s nominee for director Kathy Kraninger.
“A guiding principle for him ‘has been that the bureau should stay within the parameters of Dodd Frank, no more and no less,’” said Washburn.
