Manatt’s Jack Quinn, a partner in the firm’s government and regulatory practice, continues to make regular appearances on CNN and CNBC to provide a legal perspective on the current investigation into the Trump administration.
CNN’s Brooke Baldwin interviewed Quinn on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s classified briefing on a potential source, which members of the Democratic party were not initially permitted to attend.
“From the point of view of the intelligence committee, they don’t want to be party to what amounts to a shaping of the story,” said Quinn.
“We’ve seen this in so many ways during the course of this,” he continued. “The White House appears not to be engaged with others in a search for the truth but rather in a shaping of the story—trying to change the narrative—and that just sends all the wrong signals.”
