Manatt’s Jack Quinn, a partner in the firm’s government and regulatory practice, was interviewed by Agenda about the changes that a Democrat-led House of Representatives may bring.
The publication examined areas that may receive more scrutiny, noting that major companies and corporations should look out for oversight investigations. However, even with new control of the House, it cannot be certain whether massive changes are in the forecast.
“It would be wrong to say that because the Democrats took the House, deregulation is going to stop. There’s a lot the president can do by executive action in the area of deregulation, but it’s more complicated than it was a month ago,” said Quinn.
