Manatt’s Brian Korn, co-chair of the firm’s financial services group, was interviewed by Urban Land for an article on crowdfunding’s beginning and its grip on the real estate world.
The publication noted that Korn was part of a 2018 ULI Fall Meeting panel in Boston, where he discussed real estate crowdfunding’s rise in 2012 and its growing popularity. Panelists at the meeting reviewed the pros and cons of online investing and their expectations for the next decade.
“The U.S. is home to the world’s largest and most liquid commercial real estate market,” said Korn. “This $14 trillion market is the nation’s third-largest investment asset class behind stocks and bonds. Crowdfunding allows real estate firms to reach beyond friends and family to investors anywhere.”
