Manatt’s Joel Ario, a managing director with Manatt Health, was quoted by Politico for an article on the changes affiliated with the tumultuous state of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Attempts to uproot, stabilize and refashion the ACA have caused major upheaval. The publication notes that consultants have gone from studying possible outcomes of changing health law in the Obama era to dealing with lawsuits that have unfolded as a result of the Trump administration changing requirements and policies.
Ario said that red states and blue states are taking different approaches. States like New Jersey and California are actively shoring up Obamacare, while those like Iowa and Idaho sprint to undo it; a few states in between are managing to do both at once. Most will need help navigating uncertain terrain.
