Modern Healthcare quoted Manatt’s Deborah Bachrach, a partner with Manatt Health, for an article about the power of Republican governors who have stepped in to express concern over cutting funding to Medicaid.
 
Those governors, along with more moderate GOP senators and congressmen, are voicing opposition or wariness about the bill, which will deny healthcare coverage to many constituents and undermine the finances of local healthcare providers. “Medicaid is the make-or-break issue for governors,” said Bachrach.
