New York Democrats are considering primary bids to challenge Governor Andrew Cuomo, according to a State of Politics article that quoted Manatt’s Bruce Gyory, senior advisor in the firm’s government and regulatory practice.
“I don’t think [Cuomo would] run with a sense of umbrage or ‘why are you primarying me,’” said Gyory. “I think you’d see him take it as an opportunity to build up his favorables in the base so he’d be stronger in a general election.”
