State of Politics quoted Manatt’s Bruce Gyory, a senior advisor in the firm’s government and regulatory practice, on the implications of Democratic victories in the recent election.
According to the publication, Democratic victories on Tuesday could be chalked up to factors including high union member turnout and a desire to preserve the current healthcare system.
“I think the unions did an excellent job in mobilizing their members so you’ve got some of that effect, too,” said Gyory. “Democrats should have a good year next year because when you have a unified Democratic Party, and with independents added in, it has the makings of a big year up and down the ticket.”
