The Tennessean quoted Manatt's Deborah Bachrach, a partner in the firm's Healthcare practice, for an article about the potential for Medicaid expansion in the state of Tennessee. The article referred to the recent Manatt and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) study about Medicaid expansion.
The study, which looked at 11 states and Washington, D.C., found that areas in which states reported savings in the first year held true for the second year, said Bachrach. She also said she expects RWJF will continue to track states that expanded to get a sense of the long-term fiscal impact.
