Modern Healthcare quoted Manatt’s Joel Ario, a managing director with Manatt Health, for an article about Republican health policy experts’ plans for negotiating greater flexibility for states to design market-based approaches in non-Medicaid expansion states under a potential Clinton administration.
The publication reported that non-expansion states may be persuaded to accept Medicaid expansion if a Clinton administration would give them flexibility in designing their own programs.
“There is potential for a deal if… we can all agree to let blue and red states try things and learn from experiments on both sides,” said Ario.
