The Hill Extra quoted Manatt’s Cindy Mann, a partner with Manatt Health, for an article regarding a proposed rule that would prohibit pass-through Medicaid reimbursements. Despite resistance from Republican lawmakers, Mann thinks the agency is likely to publish a final rule by the end of the year.
“Having made the effort to do [a proposed rule] at this point, with a comment period in December, I think the intent is to issue a final regulation before this administration leaves office,” Mann said.
“I think it’s clear that a new administration would have some ability to withdraw it or modify if they so choose” but “it’s not clear what a Trump administration would be thinking of with respect to this particular policy,” Mann said.
