Luehr to Speak at Fall 2024 Privacy + Security Academy

Manatt Privacy and Data Security Partner Paul H. Luehr will speak on a panel, titled “Just What the Doctor Ordered: Regulations Affecting the Administrative and Back-Office Use of AI in Healthcare,” at the Privacy + Security Academy in Washington, D.C. on October 24, 2024.

This session will focus on the growing role of artificial intelligence in health care, particularly in administrative and back-office tasks. Presenters will explore common “use cases” and delve into the regulations and issues that attorneys and compliance officers must consider. Key topics will include the application of FDA, HIPAA and state privacy/artificial intelligence laws and regulations, as well as best practices for notice, consent, bias mitigation and cybersecurity.

The Privacy + Security Academy, hosted by George Washington University, convenes visionaries in privacy and security law. The panels will feature in-depth discussions with practical takeaways and hands-on activities.
