Manatt Health Managing Director Linda Elam will speak on a panel titled “Where Are We Now? “Big P” Policy and Health Equity in the State of Florida” at the upcoming Health Foundation of South Florida’s Annual Black Health Summit in Miami, Florida on June 4, 2024.

This panel will be a reaction panel to the conference’s keynote session, “The Political Determinants of Health: Hope for a Brave & Better Future” by Daniel Dawes, JD. The panel will discuss “Big P” policies and factors impacting South Florida, identify rules that shape behavior and resources that fund programs, provide examples of federal regulations and frameworks enacted by ACA, explain state and local barriers impacting Florida residents, and cover civic engagement solutions.
