Reilly will moderate a panel session titled “Beyond HIPAA: Protecting Health Data in the Next Generation of Consumer Privacy Laws” at the Health Care Compliance Association’s (HCCA) 27th Annual Compliance Institute, held virtually and in person in Anaheim, California, on April 25, 2023.

For over two and a half decades, the Compliance Institute has been HCCA’s primary education and networking event for health care compliance professionals, offering the latest in real-world compliance issues, emerging trends and practical applications to aid in strengthening their compliance programs. The “Beyond HIPAA: Protecting Health Data in the Next Generation of Consumer Privacy Laws” panel will feature a discussion of new comprehensive state privacy laws applicable to health data, recent Federal Trade Commission actions focused on health data privacy, new breach notification rules and other sensitive data sets.
