Heath care litigation partner Joe Laska will speak on mental health parity and implementation of SB 855 in California at a virtual seminar hosted by the California Association of Health Plans (CAHP) on April 7. The CAHP is a statewide trade association representing public and private health care plans that provide coverage to more than 26 million Californians.
The session will explore how health plans are positioning for SB 855—which requires state regulators to implement new rules expanding mental health parity requirements for health plans—how these new clinical guideline requirements could work, and how the new federal law intersects with California laws on mental health parity.
