Jordan Bromley, leader of Manatt’s entertainment transactions and finance practice, will speak on the Copyright Society of the South’s virtual panel on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and copyright on September 28. The discussion will cover a brief introduction to NFTs, the various ways NFTs can be transferred and what that means for copyright, whether NFTs create any “new rights,” and what potential applications they have for copyright-based industries.
The Copyright Society of the South’s mission is to provide a forum for music publishers, attorneys, businesspeople and academicians to study and discuss domestic and international copyright law and other matters pertaining to the entertainment industry.
