On June 29 - July 2, 2014, the American Health Law Association will hold its In-House Counsel Program and Annual Meeting in New York, NY. James Lytle, a partner based in Manatt's Albany office, has been asked to participate as a speaker in a session titled "New York Health Law: Trendsetter or Too Regulated?" on July 1.
The program will discuss a number of the new laws and regulations adopted in New York and highlight the most significant changes, including the law setting limits on out-of-network providers, regulations giving antitrust flexibility to certain providers interested in merging or collaborating, regulations on ambulatory service providers such as urgi-care centers, and the law requiring physicians and other providers to check on patients' narcotic use before prescribing.
Also on July 1, Lytle will participate in a panel discussion on New York Health Law updates at the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Health Law Section program. This complimentary one-hour section program is being held in conjunction with the AHLA meeting at the New York Hilton Midtown.
