Jacobs and Bach Recognized as 2024 Top Intellectual Property Lawyers by Daily Journal

Manatt’s Entertainment Litigation Practice Leader Robert Jacobs and Entertainment Partner Nathaniel Bach were recognized on Daily Journal’s 2024 Top Intellectual Property Lawyers list. 

With over 25 years of IP experience and a reputation among clients as a true industry partner, Jacobs was highlighted as the lead counsel for the Estate of Pop Smoke in a case defending them against pre-litigation copyright infringement and accounting claims from a producer and for representing Downtown Music Group and its subsidiary DashGo in a royalty dispute with an artificial intelligence music company.  

Bach was highlighted for representing Megan Roup and The Sculpt Society in a high-profile fitness and copyright case, including successfully obtaining dismissal of Lanham Act and unfair competition claims brought by Tracy Anderson's companies. He was also recognized for successfully representing Diplo in a class action lawsuit regarding the promotion of Bored Ape Yacht Club digital collectibles.
