Gordon M. Bava
2019 Los Angeles Financial Services Regulation Lawyer of the Year
A partner in the firm’s financial services group, Bava’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, special committee representation, private and underwritten securities offerings and general corporate representation across a variety of industries. Bava has advised clients across public entertainment, utility and healthcare companies, local, regional and multinational financial institutions and more.

Susan K. Hori
2019 Orange County Land Use and Zoning Lawyer of the Year
Hori, co-chair of the firm’s real estate and land use practice, focuses her practice on processing land use entitlements and regulatory permits for real estate development and for resolving environmental issues affecting properties. This involves substantial work on matters involving local, state and federal land use matters and environmental laws, including the California Environmental Quality Act, the National Environmental Policy At and the California Coastal Act.

George D. Kieffer
2019 Los Angeles Administrative / Regulatory Lawyer of the Year
As chair of the firm’s government and regulatory practice, Kieffer represents middle-market and Fortune 500 companies before Los Angeles and California governing entities in matters including government contracts, procurement, transactions and policy issues. Kieffer successfully chaired the commission that rewrote the City of Los Angeles charter and is the chair of the Board of Regents of the University of California.
