The Women in Law Empowerment Forum, which educates and provides networking opportunities for women in law firms, has awarded Manatt its Gold Standard Certificate for the sixth consecutive year - each year the certification has been made. Manatt is one of only 31 firms to receive certification, which distinguishes the firms that have integrated women lawyers into the highest leadership positions. Under tougher standards, 13 fewer firms received certification this year than in 2015.
Since 2011, WILEF Certification has been granted to law firms where women represent a meaningful percentage of their equity partners, of the highest leadership positions and committees, and of the most highly compensated partners. Law firms with a minimum of 200 lawyers in the United States were invited to participate. To receive certification, each firm was required to demonstrate the successful promotion and integration of women lawyers.
WILEF presents women with educational programs and networking forums to assist them in obtaining leadership roles within the AmLaw 100, Second Hundred and Fortune 1000 legal departments.
