includes parts of the Bronx near Yankee Stadium, said that she is
considering boycotting Yankee games next season because the Yankees
recently acquired, in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds, Aroldis
Chapman, who has been the subject of domestic violence allegations.
The Dodgers reportedly passed on such a trade because of the
allegations. There have been no charges filed against Mr. Chapman
by authorities in Florida, where he lives, because of conflicting
accounts of the incident, in which there were allegations of
choking and the firing of eight gunshots. Major League Baseball,
which implemented a domestic violence policy last summer, has not
yet taken any action on this matter.
