Eric Gold

Eric is an accomplished health care partner and leader of Manatt’s Boston Office. Eric handles government and internal investigations, regulatory matters, administrative litigation—including challenges to federal regulation and policy—and health policy engagements for public and private clients across the health care sector.

A former assistant state attorney general, Eric has deep experience representing health systems, health insurers, biopharmaceutical companies, and other clients facing investigations and regulatory inquiries from attorneys general, divisions of insurance, health departments, boards of licensure, and other government agencies.

Before joining Manatt, Eric served as Chief of the Health Care Division in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office where he led the division’s litigation and enforcement. In that role, Eric worked with nearly all state health care agencies across a broad range of Massachusetts laws and regulations helping to hone the strategic advice that he provides to clients.

Recently, Eric has spent significant time advising clients on emerging federal policies, including proposed rules and grant terminations. In several cases, Eric has filed amicus briefs on behalf of health care associations, supporting legal challenges to new federal policies.
