David L. McGrath
David McGrath is counsel in Manatt’s Orange County office and a member of the Firm’s Environment business unit. David’s clients rely on him to help strategically navigate complex legal landscapes to ensure compliance and address regulatory issues to protect their reputations and bottom lines. His experience includes helping clients manage environmental issues in regulatory and transactional matters involving solid and hazardous waste, air quality, water quality, government enforcement actions, land use and real estate, and related compliance issues.
David is passionate about developing tailored strategies to support his clients who operate in multifaceted, highly regulated business environments. Whether it’s managing complex permitting projects, drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements, advising on potential pollution or liability disputes, engaging with regulators or coordinating due diligence, David aims to be a strategic partner and counselor to help clients achieve their goals.
While in law school, David served as a writing advisor to first-year students, participated in the environmental law and trial advocacy clinics, and served as editor-in-chief of the UCLA Entertainment Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, where he played basketball for the Bruins and advanced to consecutive NCAA Final Four appearances.
