Christopher Cantrell
Chris Cantrell is a director with Manatt Health, an interdisciplinary policy and business advisory division of Manatt. Chris provides project support and strategic business advice to a broad range of health care organizations, including health systems, academic medical centers, medical groups, and state and local governments. Chris’ work has focused on health care reform, delivery system transformation, and health system strategy, with an emphasis on clinical integration, accountable care organizations and health IT.
Prior to joining Manatt, Chris worked as a contractor with the California Department of Public Health, evaluating sustainability plans for the California Home Visiting Program. In that role, he also researched funding and partnership opportunities with Medi-Cal and other state agencies. Chris was previously a policy analyst with the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP), where he drafted research papers on a wide array of topics, including children’s oral health, workforce issues, Medicaid, CHIP, health information technology and federal health reform. He also played an integral role in the development and launch of StateReforum.org, an online network for health reform implementation. In addition, he coordinated technical assistance to states participating in the State Health Access Program (SHAP) on health insurance expansion issues.
