Manatt’s Marketing, Business Development and Communications Team is rapidly expanding to meet growing needs. We are looking for a Data Specialist to join our dynamic team to help manage and maintain our databases and develop validation procedures to ensure the data is accurate and reportable. The position reports to the Senior Marketing Technology Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain databases: You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the firm’s databases, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data security protocols. This includes data entry, data cleaning, and data validation.
  • Data collection and analysis: Collect data from various sources, perform data analysis, and generate reports. This may include gathering data from surveys, customer feedback, and other data collection methods. You will be responsible for extracting relevant data insights and presenting them in a concise manner.
  • Data validation and quality control: Review and validate data sets to ensure accuracy and completeness. Develop and implement data quality control processes to identify and resolve data discrepancies or errors. Collaborate with other team members to ensure data consistency and quality across different systems.
  • Develop data management policies and procedures: Contribute to the development and implementation of data management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes developing data governance strategies, data privacy protocols, and data retention policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with marketing, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements. Collaborate on data projects, provide guidance on data best practices, and ensure data is effectively utilized to support business objectives.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and patterns. Proficient in using statistical software and tools for data analysis.
  • Attention to detail: Possess a high level of accuracy and precision in data entry and data validation. Excellent organizational skills to manage large volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in database management: Experience in managing databases and working with database software such as Salesforce. Ability to extract, manipulate, and query data.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities: Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues or discrepancies. Proactively seek solutions to improve data management processes.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in data management, information systems, computer science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in data management, database administration, or a similar role
  • Experience with implementing and monitoring data cleansing and enrichment tools
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar software
  • Able to work in-office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and more as needed; Ability to be flexible, with occasional long nights, early mornings and weekends as needed

Highly Recommended

  • Experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud)
  • Current Salesforce certifications are a plus
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics systems

The base annual pay range for this role is between $80,000-$95,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
