The Compensation Analyst will be part of the Accounting team, reporting to the Director of Attorney and Consultant Compensation, and will be responsible for assisting in monthly and year-end compensation schedules for Attorneys and Consultants for the firm’s Compensation Committee and Business Leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and year-end compensation financial worksheets for lawyers and consultants across all Business Units to assist with advancement, bonus, and base compensation decisions.
  • Evaluate lawyer and consultant financial performance against compensation benchmarks for additional supplemental and performance payments.
  • Review lawyer and consultant employment agreements for performance based bonuses and calculate on a timely basis.
  • Budget and forecast for lawyer and consultant compensation expenses and provide variance expense analysis to Firm Management.
  • Maintain Equity Partner capital liquidation schedules for departed partners.
  • Research and conduct market analysis to ensure base compensation and bonus structure for consultant are in line with peers.
  • Liaise and partner with other Business Professionals to support ad hoc compensation requests and projects from Firm Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • A minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience, law, or professional services firm experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (advanced proficiency preferred)
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters and information with discretion
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively with end users, peers, and managers
  • Self-motivated and able to work successfully with minimal supervision
  • Ability to respond to multiple priorities and meet varying deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

The base annual pay range for this role is between $65,000-$72,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
